Do You Know What You're Looking For?

I think about this question often but especially on Sunday's or any other worship events. I ask myself "what am I looking for" and I want to pose that question to our church or for that matter to anyone reading this blog....Do you know what you are looking for? Do you know when you walk into church what you want to get out of your time there - do you know for that matter what it is you seek, who it is you seek?

Well the answer is clearer to me than ever as I listen to one of my now favorite songs by Remedy Drive I can say with a loud shout out, "that's it" that's what everyone seeks, but few actually know it is HE they are looking for....Just think what our worship to the King could and would look like if we understood this song "All Along" - All along I was looking for something else You’re something else all along I was looking for something more You’re so much more I finally found what I could never see before You’ve always been the one that I was looking for...

It is Jesus we are looking for, it is HE we seek but we have to do that on purpose. He is right in front of us just waiting for us to realize that He is what we need....We can spend a lifetime trying to fill our lives up with stuff, with people, with things and it all comes down to the only thing that will ever fill us up is Jesus...
