So I am pondering in my heart today the 10-10-10 concept. Now this isn't my concept it is someone else's. I saw it on the news this morning. So I am putting it to some thought. How will the decisions we make in life effect us in 10 minutes, in 10 months, in 10 years. Now if we live by this concept then we will always be living in the future which isn't such a bad thing as long as we understand we should learn from our past but not live in it. Live in the present "be" present in our present. And in doing that plan for our future.
The past - we can't undo what's already done but we sure can use it to have a better present and a better future. No matter what our past looks like whether good, bad, ugly, or absolutely incredible, we should allow it to help shape our journey.
The present - oh I love the concept "be present in the present" nothings worse than being sort of present in your present. Let's put this in simple terms. If your out on a date with your spouse or significant other then be "all there" if your spending time with your family, with your kids then be "all there" if your hanging with your buddies then be "all there" how bout this one when your at church to worship the King then be "all there" that's what living in the present looks like.
The future - so this 10-10-10 thing sounds like a cool way to live. I have a favorite saying I know some of you have heard me say "we are on rehearsal for all eternity" so if we think about how the decisions we make effect our immediate future, our future just slighty down the road, and our long time off future, I bet every one of us would make much wiser decisions.
God please let me learn from my past, live in my present, and use the 10-10-10 rule for my future, knowing that we have one shot at living life outloud and I want mine to mean something in 10 min, in 10 mo., and yeah even in 10 yrs.
Living outloud for the King

Did you seriously make a blog post about "being present in the present" while you're supposed to be hanging out with Kylee? :) I hope she was still sleeping when you were blogging!
Yeah Hoss, I have been the perfect mom for 48 hours and the trip is 2 hours from being over then I can be all present without 2 - 14 yr olds, without having to swim til all hours of the night and no more Disney channel - thank you Jesus. But even as I type this we are eating maggie moos ice cream and all 3 of us are laughing at you.
