Hiding Place

Every now and then I get out of my routine with God and search out a whole new way to worship Him to spend time with Him and to allow Him to speak to me. This week has been one of those weeks that I have met God in a whole new way. I am always searching for the prefect song that connects my heart to the heart of God. Music is how my heart always connects to His...So right as I was searching out my new adventure with Jesus the song "Hiding Place" came on my ipod and wow I not only found the spot but the very song that would catapult me right into His presence....the cool thing is this, the hiding place I found was right where I was at in that very moment the very spot I was in - "in the shelter of Almighty's love in the safety of the Savior's arms"

Starting this Sunday we are once again looking at our theme for this year "The Year of Everyone" and this weeks talk is "Everyone Prays" we shot a series of prayer videos over the past 2 weeks and in shooting those videos it has brought a new awareness to my soul of how deeply important my time with God is and how it is the very thing that energizes me and gives me the strength I need when my body soul and spirit become weak, when my well runs dry, and yes even when I am on top of the mountain it is the very thing that helps me see how beautiful the mountain top experience is. It is the very thing I need most in my life and sometimes it is the very thing I put off or am just not disciplined like I know I need to be.

As I was listening to this song and thinking about Running To The Hiding Place - I thought to myself "that's it" instead of dreading my time with my King, instead of putting other things first, instead of running away from that intimate time with God, I need to be "RUNNING" to Him and running with anticipation of just what I will encounter there. God will always meet us, all we have to do is show up....

I pray that "everyone" of us get what I got this week and that is the urgency to RUN to the HIDING PLACE to be alone with Jesus to hang out with Him and spend precious time with the very One that gave everything for us....and who knows you might have some way cool God stuff happen as a result - I know I sure did and honestly can't wait to see what is in store for today.....
