WORSHIP!

Here's a thought on worship!

“Worship” was never intended for, nor to please, man!

Worship is a word that denotes the pure essence of our relationship with God – intimate, affectionate and devotional. Worship is the reflection of our nothingness compared to His Completeness, our emptiness compared to His Fullness and our finiteness compared to His Limitlessness. This relationship is one that we should become humbled and broken by our “self-nature” and we become enamored and embraced by His “Whole-Nature” – He Who has no beginning nor ending, no uprising nor down-sitting, no agenda nor manipulation.

Worship is a reflection of our gratefulness for His Mercy…His Grace…It truly is a close encounter of the only kind!!!

Interestingly enough, it is also “that” kind of worship that ultimately impacts the unbeliever…any church filled with true worshippers cannot help but impact a lost soul, and an unchurched person looking for something more to this thing we call life.

Oh how I pray we understand "worship" what it is, what it means, and what it is not....I pray we learn to lay down our agendas and our prefernces and enter into His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and enter into His courts with praise!

I love tbis scripture and pray this is what happens everytime our doors are open!

I Corinthians 14:24,25 (The Message)
“But if some unbelieving outsiders walk in on a service where people are speaking out God’s truth, the plain words will bring them up against the truth and probe their hearts. Before you know it, they’re going to be on their faces before God, recognizing that God is among you.”

Just a little something to think about…
