Read this prayer today - adopted it as my own daily prayer everyday for the next 2 1/2 weeks. As we entered into our new series "The Blessed Life" I found myself worrying about things I should not be worrying about. I am determined to TRUST what God is up to. Through this series I pray I will learn more and more about turning my worries, fears, and the future, completely over to the ONE who holds my every moment, can calm my raging seas, and WHO can walk with me through fire...I am asking God to show Himself so evident that NO ONE can deny Him and what HE is doing at CCC any longer!
Lord, I'm diverting all of my hunger away from man to focus it on You. I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I know I'm blessed, but I'm not content to stop there. There are too many hungry and desperate people around me who don't know the wonder of Your presence. I'm after nothing less than an explosive encounter with You of such magnitude that it shakes everything that can be shaken.
