Count It All Joy!

James 1:12
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Have you ever felt totally helpless? Have you ever come to the place where you realized that a particular situation was completely out of your hands and there was nothing left to do but trust God? I have been reminded once again that trusting God should not be my last resort, but that it should be my only resort. And that is right where He wants me.

Lord, I am yours; my family is yours; my ministry is yours. Have Your way in my life. I know that I cannot fix things and that, when I try, I just make a mess of things. I am trusting in You and in Your words: "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are "Jehovah Rapha", the Lord is my Healer. I will continue to trust in You.

God asks us to walk some difficult roads; I don't know why. But I do know that His desire is that we grow in grace and knowledge. I know that His desire is that we count it all joy. I am not always sure exactly what He is trying to teach me. I do know that He is my Refuge and Strength. I do know that He is my Fortress and my Deliverer. As we walk through the fiery trials of life, may we all come through it and shine like pure gold.
