Awakening!

This is day 3 of the Jesus Culture Awakening Conference in Chicago. I am amazed at the worship teams here and their love for the King, their passion as they lead, the intensity of their desire to perform before an audience of One even though they have an audience of 15,000. My hearts desire is that my band, my team, my church, would GET it - that it is not about us, but all and only about Him - it is all and only for Him. I want every moment of our worship, of my worship, to never ever be about me or about others, but about HIM. I am not interested any longer in prideful worship or prideful worshippers, this has been burning in my soul for years. My heart is for my King. I don't want to be part of a bless me team or a bless me church any longer - I want and desire to be part of a team and church that wants to bless the heart of God. He deserves more than our petty talent, He deserves more than our attitudes of worshipping if we feel like it, He deserves more than our preferences and our agendas, He deserves more than our heads in worship, He deserves our HEART. The whole thing, not a part but the whole. He created us He came to this sick earth for us, He died for us, He rose again for us, and one day He will return for us, we won't be giving Him half hearted bless me worship then - we will be on our faces crying Holy. Why not GET it now so we understand a taste of what true worship will be like when we see Him face to face. It's all or nothing! See you at OCOG 10:30 am Sunday worshipping with abandon.
