It is a sad fact of our nature - a psychological fact - that our own desires can be so loud they sound like divine commands. Pray long enough about what we already want to do and the echo will come back sooner or later, but it is our own voice, not the voice of God. However, there is a safeguard for all "voices" and impulses – and that is the Word of God, the Bible. REINHARD BONNKE
We Always Always, I repeat ALWAYS have to be sure our desires dreams pursuits etc line up with the word. One of the hardest parts of pastoring is teaching others to LINE UP their lives with the word. Year after year I watch good people think they hear from God and when I challenge them to seek the word they often by pass that very important step to be sure their selfish desires are fulfilled with no risk of SEEING that their own thinking isn't lining up with Gods thinking. He gave us HIS WORD for alot more than having something to brag about when we toot our horns and tell people how godly we are that we read the word daily or that we've read it straight through year after year. God gave us His heart in writing and we have to use it to be certain we are HEARING HIS VOICE and not just caving to our own fleshly desires.
I wonder if God ever says to HIS SON about us humans "I told you so"
Come on my fellow pastors, worship leaders, worshippers and friends lets be sure its LINING UP! So no one ever says "I told you so"
