I guess most of you know by now (or at least I hope you noticed I was gone Sunday) that we are away on vacation. We are having a great time with our kids in Texas. I missed Cobblestone so much yesterday but was at peace you were all in great hands. I had the privilege of visiting 3 churches this past weekend. One Saturday night, a mega church outside of Dallas, and Sunday morning we visited a new church plant started by precious friends of ours just 10 weeks ago, and last night Bruce spoke at a friends church here in the metroplex. He did an amazing job as he usually does, he still takes my breath away every time he preaches. He talked about the urgency to see the lost saved because time is short and hell is real.
It was amazing to see how diverse churches are and yet even with all the differences the 3 we visited all have the same mission and that is winning the lost to Jesus. My favorite God moment in worship came on Sunday morning when the song "The More I Seek You" was being led. I actually visited the church on Saturday were that song originated. One of their worship leaders wrote the song. But it was at this new church plant that I had my God moment this week. As this 10 week old band started to lead this song you could feel the presence of the King all over the place. I just stood in awe of what God was doing and embraced every single word. As I listened to this song even this morning I am overwhelmed that WE get to sit at His feet - WE get to drink from His cup - WE get to lay back against him and feel His heartbeat. We serve and amazing God and I pray if you haven't heard this song that you look it up and embrace every word.
Pray for us as we travel more through Texas this week it is hot hot here. But wow to have my kids all to myself! yeah, God is so good to me. Have a wonderful week my friends and I love and miss you all. See you soon when we will worship together once again...sharla
The More I seek You
The More I find You
The More I find You
The More I love You
I want to sit at your feet
Drink from the cup in your hands
Lay back against you and breathe
Feel your heartbeat
This love is so deep
It's more than I can stand
I melt in your peace
It's overwhelming
