Performance vs Worship Leading

Paul Baloche is one of the great worship leaders and song writers of this generation. He was the leader of the Maranatha Worship Team and the Main Stage speaker at the first worship conference I ever attended back in the 90's. I have been to many worship events and conferences that he has led and been a part of. I was reading some material on line and listening to Paul's newest music when I ran across this video on performance verses worship. I could not have said this better myself and actually have said almost these very words many times. It's a little long but if you have 5 min to spare and you have ever wondered about how true worship leaders and band members view this subject, check this out. You will be blessed.

For my worship teams, if you are reading this - thank you for knowing who you are in Christ, and knowing you can worship the King with full expression and emotion and its ok, cause we truly worship to an audience of ONE, hoping beyond hope the church goes on this journey with us to truly understand that it's all about HIM! Nothing blesses me more than to see people, especially my team, and my church, worshipping our God with all their hearts, soul, mind, and strength. The next time you look at the stage and wonder are they performing or worshipping, think of these words from a very wise soul. Thanks Paul for doing what you and so many others do around the world to bring amazing worship to this time in History.
